Jackson Creek Wetland Restoration Before and After
During 2006, the Bear Creek Watershed Council (BCWC) was working on obtaining 501(c)3
non-profit status. They also improved their website and community partnerships. In April 2006 they participated in the coordination of a successful Latino Kids and Bugs Program in partnership with Oregon State University, The Healthy Waters Institute, Jackson Education Services District, and Bear Creek Watershed Education Partners. They are working on a conservation easement with Southern Oregon Land Conservancy and are completing restoration projects on Ashland Creek, Larson Creek and Jackson Creek.
