The council meets everyon fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm alternating between Wallowa and Elgin.

In both 2005 and 2006, the Grande Ronde Model Watershed (GRMW)  program was host to a tour of projects implemented with partners and funded by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) , Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), Natural Resource Conservation Service,  and many others. Attendees have included decision-makers from BPA, Northwest Power and Conservation Council, OWEB, ODFW, US Fish & Wildlife Service, NOAA Fisheries, The Nez Perce Tribe, The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, a number of private local citizens, and more. In total, GRMW has hosted more than 120 guests on these two tours, neither of which could have been held without a lot of help and guidance from council partners. The tours have been fun, educational, and a great place to make new friends.
