It is the Mission of the Council to foster better stewardship of the McKenzie Watershed resources through voluntary partnerships and collaboration. The Council's Vision is that the McKenzie River Watershed supports exceptional water quality and habitats in balance with human economic livelihood and quality of life.
The Council meets the second Thursday of each month at 5:30pm.
This biennium the council was most excited about their third annual McKenzie Watershed Council projects tour. Stakeholders from within the watershed joined them as they explored the ecological, social and economic incentives of watershed restoration on a local level. The tour highlighted the Council’s ability to plan and implement projects with private landowners, as well as their coordination of long-term restoration projects with partner organizations.
