The Council meets each first Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the Scappoose Bay Marina.
The Scappoose Bay Watershed Council recognized the need to facilitate a broader community discussion about the future of the natural resources in their watershed. This biennium, they are working on a strategic plan to identify larger-scale projects that would help to protect their salmon bearing creeks and one of the few remaining freshwater, tidally-influenced bays on the Columbia River system. They plan to work with the local communities to create a new vision for the area, including environmental, social, and economic elements.
