Umatilla Watershed Council

920 SW Frazer Ave, Suite #210

Pendleton, OR  97801    Coordinator:  Tami Sasser    umatillabwc@eotnet.net

The Council meets every fourth Monday of the month at 7pm.  The meetings alternate monthly between the Umatilla Court House in Pendleton and the Hermiston Agriculture Research Center.

The Umatilla Basin Watershed Council collaborated with Stewards of the Umatilla River Environment, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, SOLV, and local officials on river cleanup events in Pendleton and Hermiston in May and July 2006. Over 150 volunteers helped remove an estimated 11 tons of trash, appliances, tires, and weeds from along Tutuilla Creek and the Umatilla River Parkway in Pendleton, as well as from Hermiston canals and drains flowing into the main-stem Umatilla River.
