The Network of Oregon Watershed Councils is fortunate to work closely with a number of organizations that help us support conservation and restoration activities statewide.

The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) is a critical funding partner for the Network of Oregon Watershed Councils and for individual councils, as well as many other conservation organizations throughout Oregon. OWEB’s mission is to help create and maintain healthy watersheds and natural habitats that support thriving communities and strong economies.

The Oregon Association of Conservation Districts (OACD) is a key partner for the Network – we share office space and staff while working together to build awareness among the public and decision makers about the importance of watershed councils and soil and water conservation districts in achieving watershed restoration. Individual Soil and Water Conservation Districts are often close partners with watershed councils in local communities.

The Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts (COLT) serves as a statewide service center and the central voice of the land trust community. COLT focuses on improving and advancing land conservation in the state through increased land trust capacity and coverage, engagement of stakeholders, defending and developing new and larger sources of funding, and supportive policies. It represents the land trust community and provides leadership on important initiatives in public policy advocacy, policy implementation decisions, and outreach to public and private stakeholders.

Oregon Conservation Education & Assistance Network (OCEAN) delivers conservation based technical training, professional development, education, assistance, and networking opportunities to conservation district and watershed council employees in Oregon. CONNECT is OCEAN’s main endeavor, and provides attendees with two full days of technical training built around the feedback received from the attendees themselves.
